1. Scope and Applicability

This PCR applies to factory-gate production of products within the reviewed semantic boundary of other spirituous beverages and undenatured ethyl alcohol with actual alcoholic strength below 80% vol. It covers the declared route from receipt of fermentable agricultural or food-industry raw material, or from receipt of purchased agricultural ethyl alcohol or distillate, through conditional raw-material preparation, fermentation, distillation or rectification, maturation, blending, filtration, cleaning, quality release, and filling and packaging.

The category is deliberately broader than any one spirit type, raw material, alcohol strength, maturation period, or package. A concrete data package shall identify whether its product is a spirit drink, another potable spirituous beverage, or undenatured ethyl alcohol below 80% vol; its legal sales name; raw-material route; actual alcoholic strength by volume at 20 °C; maturation status; formulation; and market condition. Excluded products are denatured alcohol, ethyl alcohol at 80% vol or higher, beer, wine, cider, perry, mead, and other fermented beverages not distilled or otherwise within the spirituous-beverage identity, and spirit products assigned to a separately reviewed narrower PCR. Agricultural production, manufacture of purchased alcohol or distillate, barrel manufacture, packaging manufacture, and downstream distribution are linked as upstream or downstream datasets unless explicitly included in the declared foreground boundary.
