1. Scope and Applicability

This PCR governs foreground data packages for silver metal supplied at the factory gate in an unwrought form, a semi-manufactured form, or powder form, including silver whose surface is plated with gold or platinum. The declared product form and route determine which conditional processes apply. At least one route process shall be included and the complete chain inside the reporting facility shall be represented.

Included products are refined silver crystals, grain, ingots, bars, billets, sheet, strip, foil, rod, wire, other declared semi-manufactured silver forms, silver powder, and those same silver forms plated with gold or platinum. Excluded products are silver ores and concentrates, silver compounds sold as chemicals, silver paste and other formulated mixtures, finished jewellery or fabricated articles, waste and scrap sold for recovery, and base metals merely clad with silver.

The foreground boundary starts with receipt of the declared silver-bearing feed or purchased silver at the reporting facility and ends with net saleable product at the factory gate. Upstream production of purchased materials and energy shall be represented by linked upstream datasets, not silently included in foreground quantities.
