1. Scope and Applicability

This PCR covers factory-gate production of guinea fowl meat that is frozen before dispatch. The foreground begins with accepted live guinea fowl at the declared slaughter-facility gate and includes reception, stunning, slaughter, bleeding, scalding, defeathering, evisceration, carcass dressing, applicable cutting and deboning, pre-chilling, freezing, frozen-product packaging, frozen storage, sanitation, wastewater management, and on-site utility generation when present.

Guinea fowl rearing, feed production, hatchery operations and inbound transport are linked upstream processes rather than foreground operations. Distribution after the factory gate, retail, thawing, preparation, consumption and end-of-life are outside this foreground boundary. Fresh or chilled guinea fowl meat, fatty liver or foie gras, and edible or inedible offal as the reference product are excluded.
