1. Scope and Applicability

This PCR covers cradle-to-factory-gate production of complete stationary, marine, and other non-aircraft gas turbines that convert fuel energy into mechanical shaft output. It includes purchased materials and components, directly controlled casting where performed, heat treatment, joining, machining, protective coating, assembly, inspection, and manufacturer acceptance testing when it occurs before the factory gate.

Turbo-jets, turbo-propellers, steam turbines, hydraulic turbines, generators, complete combined-cycle plants, site civil works, installation, distribution, use, maintenance, overhaul, and end-of-life are excluded. An aero-derivative unit is covered only when marketed as a non-aircraft mechanical-drive or power-generation gas turbine; the aircraft engine from which it derives is not covered. The product boundary is independently justified by the official CPC identity and by the distinct materials, manufacturing controls, and acceptance-test needs of industrial gas turbines.
