1. Scope and Applicability
This PCR models one representative factory-gate route for packed, deboned, quick-frozen buffalo meat produced in an integrated slaughter and meat-processing plant. The foreground starts with live buffalo accepted at the plant and follows lairage, slaughter and dressing, carcass chilling, cutting and deboning, packaging, blast freezing, frozen storage, and plant hygiene. The declared product is not a carcass, bone-in cut, edible offal, minced or mechanically separated meat, or a weighted average of those products.
The upstream production and inbound transport of live buffalo, production of electricity, fuels, water, chemicals and packaging, treatment of exported wastes and wastewater, outbound transport, retail, thawing, cooking and consumption are outside the foreground. They remain recursive inputs or downstream datasets when a cradle-to-gate or life-cycle model is assembled. The product must have reached a thermal centre temperature of -18 °C or colder after thermal stabilization and remain at -18 °C or colder in frozen storage (fao-who-cxc-8-1976).

OpenAlex screening was completed centrally through paper-search search -s openalex with four route-focused queries covering water-buffalo meat, slaughter, deboning, blast freezing, frozen storage, LCA, energy, water, wastewater, waste, refrigerant and emissions. Thirty result records were screened. None directly documented the declared deboned frozen-water-buffalo factory route or supplied applicable foreground LCI rules or values; broad livestock, buffalo-milk, cattle-slaughterhouse, cultured-meat and food-quality hits were rejected. No OpenAlex metadata, abstract, search snippet or unverified paper supports any rule or value in this PCR.
