1. Scope and Applicability

This PCR governs foreground data production for finished knitted or crocheted track suits, ski suits, swimwear, and other knitted or crocheted garments not elsewhere classified. It covers manufacture from purchased yarn, purchased knitted or crocheted fabric, or purchased garment panels through applicable knitting or crocheting, cutting, sewing or linking, garment finishing, inspection, pressing, and packaging at the manufacturing plant gate.

The PCR includes conventional cut-and-sew and seamless or knit-to-shape routes. A concrete data package shall declare the garment type, fibre composition, knitted or crocheted construction, route, reference size or size mix, performance finish, accessories, packaging configuration, production geography, and reporting period. It excludes woven or otherwise non-knitted garments, hosiery, separately classified knitted shirts, T-shirts, pullovers, babies' garments, clothing accessories, upstream fibre and yarn production, downstream distribution, retail, consumer use and care, and end-of-life unless these stages are added in a separately declared life-cycle model.
